Cheney Has Spoken

Religious conservatives who may have been troubled by Giuliani's three marriages or Romney's Mormonism got told: those things don't matter.

Well, that's that, then.

Personally, I've always seen the Bush-Cheney team as an ideal one for the modern GOP: a religious teetotaller talking about "compassionate conservatism" in one breath and banning same-sex marriage in the next, backed up by an hardnosed former Sec.Def. with a lesbian daughter who tells senators to go fuck themselves. But I think Cheney may need to be reminded of which part of the Republican coalition listens to him.
